Elite entries are now open for 2026.
To qualify for a complimentary place in the elite race, participants must have a qualifying time within the last 3 years of 1:10:00 or quicker for men, and 1:20:00 or quicker for women.
We are committed to making our events as inclusive and accessible as possible, and we actively welcome wheelchair participants to take part.
Following feedback and consultation from past participants, we have reviewed the course and decided that the route is not suitable for racing wheelchairs. This decision has been made in the interests of safety and to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.
Day chairs are still welcome at the Hackney Half. Anyone participating in a day chair will start at the back of their allocated pen, based on their estimated finishing time to ensure they can participate safely in the race.
